Any former pupil of Carmel College having a daughter, son, granddaughter or grandson in the first academic year after GCSE, or equivalent, is invited to apply for details of the 2008-2009 scholarship on behalf of their child or grandchild.  The Trustees of the scholarship, formed in memory of Dr. John Addis, Head of History at Carmel College from 1961 until his untimely death in 1986, have the ability to award a scholarship of up to £1,000 to the best entrant.  Entrants will be required to produce a CV in their own handwriting, a testimonial from the Head of their current school and an essay on a topic that will be advised to applicants.
